Windows Process Description:

The Magic Mail Monitor uses the POP3 protocol, that supports multiple accounts and informs you when any of your mailboxes have new messages. It allows you to preview your messages and remove junk mail, helping you put an end to spam or viruses. The information about the software, author, version, guest book, homepage and other options are contained in the about.dll module.

The about.dll module provides information about the original developer, Valeriy Ovechkin, who started MMM in 1997 as a programming exercise while he was at school. Unfortunately, he was unable to support it, thus by late 2002, the program as well as its source code was released under the conditions of the GNU General Public License (GPL). Several other authors are mentioned in the about.dll such as Igor Green, Marco Gulino, Travis Watford, Alexei Smimov, Yuri Mezentsev, and Daniel Btretzmann.

The about.dll module also contains links to the latest updates of the program, Frequently Asked Questions, and the link to the homepage of Sourceforge.Net, which continues the development of the MMM utility as an open source project. This module also provides links to the MMM summary page, downloads, changes list, bugs/suggestions summary, etc.

The Guestbook facilitates exchange of ideas among MMM users and is a great opportunity to share experiences and learn about what others think about the software. For general comments and notes, the about.dll file provides users with two options: Sign the MMM Guestbook to let others know about each other's experiences and View the MMM Guestbook to take a look on other's comments.

The only method called by the about.dll module is the ShowAboutBox that displays the ActiveX controls 'about' dialog box. To make sure that there is only a single AboutBox instance allocated, the AboutBox.m file should be modified.
