MOBILedit! Is an open application that gives you the capability to control and view the contents of your cellphone from your computer. With it, you can do full searches, dial and send SMS messages and make a backup of all your data. Its basic functions can be found in the basic.dll module.

The basic.dll module provides MOBILedit! With phone drivers and installable applications to enhance its functionality, including support for future phones, functions and new features that have yet to become available. This module enables you to upload, edit or download pictures and view movies

The basic.dll file starts the initialization method by calling the _basGetIniPath@0 and _basInitLibrary@0 functions. The function _basGetProgramPath@0 selects the destination folder where you want the application to be installed. After the installation, the Wizard appears and displays all connected devices. Communication can be made via Bluetooth, infrared or cable. Functions such as the _basGetSoundFile@4, _basGetSoundPath@12, and _basPlaySound@4 are implemented by the basic.dll application to install various sounds in order to personalize MOBILedit! And define the paths to those sound files.

The basic.dll file allows you to create and set paths for data files by calling on the _basCreatePath@8 and the _basGetDataPath@0 functions. The data files are stored by default in the subfolder installation path. These functions let you change the default setting and store data files for each user in separate places. The _basGetSkinPath@0 function is called when you want to download skinable designs from the Internet and set the path for these skin files.
