Windows Process Description:
The bdrintl.dll module executes as a part of the Microsoft Office 2000 application and is specifically identified as the Microsoft Office Binder Localization Library. The Microsoft Binder and the module bdrintl.dll was initially incorporated in the Microsoft Office 95 edition and were designed to provide users with a way to put together various OLE 2.0 type objects (like MS Word documents, PowerPoint presentations and MS Excel spreadsheets) and integrate them into a single file. The bdrintl.dll file supports Microsoft Binder and produces two file extension types; .OBD (for Microsoft Binder files) and .OBT (for Office Binder Template).
The bdrintl.dll file supported formats created in earlier versions of Microsoft Office and can still be utilized under the later versions of Microsoft Office up to the 2003 edition by implementing the component add-in UNBIND tool. The UNBIND tool and the bdrintl.dll file are not included in the Microsoft Office 2007 installation.
The usage of the UNBIND tool in relation to the bdrintl.dll module produced files, involves the opening of the Microsoft Windows Explorer or My Computer in order to locate and double click on the Binder file that the user wants to access which will launch the UNBIND tool. Under the UNBIND dialog box, the user has the option to choose where to extract and save the file for future access. Documents saved in a binder are incorporated into a single Binder file.
Aside from the aforementioned applications the file bdrintl.dll also supports Microsoft Project and Microsoft Vision files without the need to launch each individual application. The Microsoft support for the bdrintl.dll module and Binder files under the Microsoft Windows XP Operating System environment is only limited to actual usage and not on the individual installation issues. The Microsoft Office Binder and the DLL bdrintl.dll are object models that are instituted by the MSBDR9.OLB file.
