Windows Process Description:

The module effects.dll contains effects plugin for IrfanView. IrfanView is a free image viewer created for Microsoft Windows operating systems that is able to edit, view, playback audio and video formats and convert image files. This program is specifically created to be a lightweight player or viewer that is popular for its ease of use, speed and its capability to support various formats of graphic files.

The file effects.dll is not included in older versions of the image viewer, a separate plugin, IV Effect Plugin, should be installed to be able to use this module. When effects.dll has been successfully installed, your compact graphic viewer will now have the capability to view, modify, and enhance images on all major image formats and is compatible with Windows operating system.

The module effects.dll contains a total of eleven image effects that can be applied to an image. These effects including its settings are: blur with a value customizable between 1-99, emboss which has a default filter setting set, oil paint whose value can be selected between 3, 5, 7 or 9, edge detection whose filter setting value is also set on default, median filter where the value setting can again be chosen between 3, 5, 7 or 9., explosion where the value of the mask in any number a user prefers, pixelize whose value can also be set at any integer, sharpen where the filter settings value can be set between 1-99, fine rotation where the image can be rotated between the angles -360 degrees up to 360 degrees with an added option to either clear the background or not, 3d button whose border width and height can be set to any positive number and red eye reduction where the filter settings value can be set between -127 up to 127.

To be able to use the full capabilities of the filter affects to a loaded image another DLL file should be installed. By installing ffactory.dll, filter factory and filter unlimited will be available to the users of this program; this would offer more choices and options to modify a certain image file.
