Windows Process Description:

The MOBILedit! Software allows you to control your mobile phone from your PC. It uses an open modular framework, which means that the software is comprised of modules that are installed to control specific phone features. The main.dll module contains the main functions of this application such as the backup of your data and SMS messaging.

Any messages or data from your device that you have backed up will be saved in the Backup or Archive option of MOBILedit! These data can be found in the main.dll module and remains there, unlike the offline data. The main.dll module allows you to maintain numerous backup files all of which are labeled according to date and time.

The main.dll module also stores the number, which identifies a phone, the IMEI number, automatically. Thus, in case you lose your phone, the information found in the module can be used to block the phone. The functions of the main.dll module implemented for these purpose are:

The SMS feature allows you to send, read, sort and archive all your text messages. This feature allows you to select multiple recipients for every text message. It you get an SMS while connected to MOBILedit!, the message appears both on your phone and desktop.

Commands are called by the mainIsToolbar function from the toolbar in the main menu where new items specific to the current data appear. Other functions contained in the main.dll module are the mainApplyCurrentSkin, mainGetCurrentSkinColor, mainRemoveSkin, and mainGetCurrentSkinSolidBrush used when managing and changing skins such as Windows XP Blue, Hot Summer, and GSMobil to name a few.
