The DLL yt.dll is a module that contains the functions of the software Yahoo Toolbar. This DLL comes as a personalized browser toolbar which allows you to access bookmarks, links, and other features from your browser. It can be integrated with Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox.

The yt.dll application can be personalized by signing in with your Yahoo ID. You can then create your own personal buttons and link them to your favorite websites. However, it does not track the actual bookmarked sites visited. It does not collect or report information regarding your visits to any website unless given permission. The Web Usage of the yt.dll program allows you to share information with Yahoo about the sites you visited. This is done in order to improve Yahoo services. If given consent, the module yt.dll will transmit several information to Yahoo. These include the complete URL of all the sites you visited, product performance data like page load speed, unique Toolbar identifier, and other information provided by your browser including cookies from the yahoo.com domain.

One of the main features of the yt.dll application is the Anti-Spy feature. This feature is provided in conjunction with CA. It can be accessed by clicking on the Anti-Spy icon.
